In our ongoing series, Crave vs. Save, we show you how to get the look you love for less. In this feature, we styled both looks around our Rose Velveteen linen. The versatile Rose Velveteen linen is perfect for adding luxe texture, shine, and a touch of romance to weddings and special moments or on-trend flair to a variety of events year-round. We paired the beautiful blush tone with white and silver elements for a classic sophistication.
A perfect companion to the Rose Velveteen, the White Regal Chair was too good to pass up in either look, so we used it for both. The interlocking-semicircle back design and bright white finish are a modern alternative to the classic Reception Chair, adding another layer of detail to both designs. We finished off this unique chair with White Cotton Cushions.
We set the foundation for the Crave setting with our Silver Bead Glass Charger. Its transparency allows the star of the show — the Rose Velveteen linen — to peek through, while adding silver accents and shine. For the Save look, we used a classic White Rim Chop Plate to provide a strong base for the setting, and because we get similar accents from the other two plates in the setting, we can save a bit on the charger element.
The unique scalloped look of the Whisper White Plate adds additional shape and dimension to the Crave look, while the White Rim Platinum Border Dinner plate sets a classic tone with a touch of silver in the Save look.
Add another layer of silver sparkle to the Crave setting with the intricately-detailed Deco Lunch Plate. To carry the silver accent theme through, we finished off the Save setting with the modern White Coupe Platinum Border Salad plate.
The luxurious weight of our Carnegie Hill flatware collection coupled with a bold, vertical stripe and texture give the Crave look added elegance. For a similar look and feel at a lower price point, we used the Tribeca Stainless flatware, whose textured stripes run horizontally instead.
Perfect for raising a toast in style, we added the Dyana Flute to the Crave look as an accent glass. The Classic Flute — one of our most popular Flute styles — is the perfect vessel for bubbly without breaking the bank.
Like the Regal Chairs, we sometimes discover a detail so perfectly paired that we include it in both looks, and the Griffin Grey Nu Weave Dinner Napkin certainly fits the bill. The midtone grey hue grounds the overall light design with a fabric that feels like linen without the linen price tag. Maybe you can have your cake and eat it, too!
