Introducing our beautiful, new Hamptons Design Studio located in Water Mill, New York! The historic building, which was once the Water Mill Station, now houses our Design Studio where you can meet with our local team, experience our product, find inspiration, and create your next magnificent event.
The original Water Mill Station opened nearby in 1875. As the stop grew in popularity and the Long Island Rail Road expanded into the area, a new building was constructed on Station Road and opened in August 1903. The beautiful new brick building operated as a train station for excited summer residents & visitors for approximately 50 years before it closed and service ended. It then enjoyed a second life as a well-known local restaurant in the late-20th century.
In April 2016, we opened our new Design Studio here, looking forward to our future in a space with such a rich, local history. (We’re reminded of its heritage a few times each day when the train rolls through our “backyard”!) While we’ve brought parts of the space into the 21st century, we’ve kept much of its classic Hamptons charm and stunning architecture. All who have visited the space note it’s comfortable, inviting feel, which allows them to relax and be purely creative.
Inside the new Design Studio, you’ll find hundreds of our products in countless styles and colors for you to mix and match while creating your next event design. Our local team, Laura Thorne and Linda Vacey, have nearly 40 combined years experience serving the Hamptons area with passion and expertise. They can help with design and logistics for any event, whether it’s a wedding, clambake, sporting event, at-home dinner for two, or fundraising gala for 1000. They know the area’s trends, have longstanding and valued relationships with local event venues and professionals, and are always happy to welcome new faces to the Party Rental Ltd. family.
