It’s only fitting that the birthplace of our nation would be next on the list for the mélange of City Winery’s intimate loft dining, wine bar, and live music experiences. Curated with the community in mind, founder Michael Dorf opened this ‘first-of-its-kind’ winery and live music combo in New York in 2008 before expanding to several other cities, including Philadelphia in the fall of 2019. Since then, patrons have been basking in its cool, chic and urban wine-country vibe.
City Winery’s upbeat architectural design gives pause to shoppers and connoisseurs in Center City’s bustling Fashion District. Guests are invited to stop in for a listening party, participate in a wine-making class, see a theatrical production or enjoy a casual dinner with friends and colleagues. The eclectic establishment also holds space for private events, helping to commemorate milestones while making each moment that much more delectable with a world-class menu that complements the vast array of wines produced on-premises, along with an award-winning wine list.
Downstairs, between the fermentation tank and the private event space lies the secret weapon: the Barrel Room – where barrels of Alabaster Towers guard the walls, and wine inspired by centuries-old tradition runs deep on tap directly from the cellar. For the Grand Opening Party, we partnered with the team at City Winery and Nature’s Gallery Florist to showcase this room as a private event space, with a king’s table set to capture the magic of the venue and mirror its soft ambiance, where flavorful wine is paired with wholesome food.

With the barrels taking center stage, the team at Nature’s Gallery Florist complemented the tablescape with white hydrangea to add texture and added height with stunning white orchids, all grown at their nearby greenhouse.
